B.Sc. in Agri/Horti/Forestry with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
Course Contents
Crop Ecology, Modern techniques of raising field crops, Medicinal and Aromatic crops, Weed Management, Soil Science, Statistical methods for research in field crops, Irrigation Water Management and Seed Production Technology.
Career Opportunities
Agronomists are in high demand for successful and profitable cultivation of various crops, viz. sugarcane, jute, medicinal and aromatic crops in different private industries, Govt. sectors and societies. Prospects are highly bright for research activities in different ICAR institutes, SAUs and CAUs. Specialized farming system entails the crops produced and exported in different countries require Agronomists in different capacities. There is high demand of agronomists in fertilizer industries, seed industries and agrochemical industries.

Other Charges
- Registration Fee: Rs. 15,000/-
- Security: Rs. 2,500/- (refundable after successful completion of the course)
- Examination Fee: As prescribed by University
- Hostel, Transport & Mess fee: Rs. 65,000/- p.a. to be paid in two equal installments. However, vacating hostel not allowed in middle of an academic session (room rent non-refundable, mess charges on prorata basis).
- Laundry charges: Rs. 250/- per month.

- All fee are non-refundable
- Schedule for tuition fee deposition: 1st Installment - 7th June, 2nd Installment - 7th December
- No separate intimation / reminder will be sent for depositing the fee, any delay in depositing fee would carry a late fee fine.
- Students must read rules and regulations carefully so as to fully acquaint themselves before taking admission
- Terms and condition indicated in admission hand book shall be strictly applicable and no relaxation shall be entertained.
- Project fee for desertation of post graduate students: Rs. 7000/- to be paid at the time of joining the fourth semester.
- All disputes are subject to Dehradun jurisdiction only, irrespective of place of residence of the applicant and the place from where the application is sought.
